ANIMAL BEHAVIOUR
How The Ferret Gets Food?
Ferrets are natural hunters, so providing them with opportunities to express their natural behaviour through hiding food will help with their development. You can also use food to promote game play and reduce boredom. For example, using treat balls with kitten biscuits or simply place food in various places around the room.

How the Ferret Protects Itself from Predators?
Ferret use their sharp teeth, sharp claws and their long, slender body to defend themselves. The ferret will try to bite their enemies or threats because their teeth are extremely sharp and it will wound the predator slowing it down. Their sharp claws also allow the ferret to wound its predator. Sometimes the ferret will run away, but sometimes it will stop and stand on their hind legs and scratch the other animal and confuse it. Then, that animal will hopefully get the message that they will get hurt if they get any closer. The long, flexible, slender, body allows the black-footed ferret to hide in a burrow and wait until the predator has left. As you can see, this ferret defends itself with lots of amazing mechanisms.

Sleeping Habits
Ferrets spend 14–18 hours a day asleep and are most active around the hours of dawn and dusk, meaning they are crepuscular.Unlike their polecat ancestors, which are solitary animals, most ferrets will live happily in social groups. A group of ferrets is commonly referred to as a "business". They are territorial, like to burrow, and prefer to sleep in an enclosed area.
